I want to make it official on my blog that I have been chosen to be the next president for SFSI. Wow! What an honor! I'm ciked!

Play those BLUES
my friend....

A friend pasted-on back home and it took me really by surprise when my sis called me up on Sunday morning.... Bob was my roommate/friend for a year... Bob was a very gentle giant who had great joyful soul that spilled onto others.... I didn't know him as well as my sis and my brother law did but he had huge impact of my life...

One of these many great things I will always remember about Bob is the beautiful music he created... A true blues man.... An Honest Blues Man...

He lived in the bottom of the house flat (basement)while I lived in the second top of the house.... Bob was a great blues / singer guitar player and occasionally I would have the luck of listening to him play through the air vents on a cold Wisconsin night.... Its one of the many things I miss from Wisconsin and know now that I will never get the chance to hear the beautiful music again... It will definitely suck going back in the house and not seeing bob.... that sucks...plain and simple.... So i drew this drawing in memory of you Bob... Keep playing the blues even though you are in better place man!

This is my favorite deli right now if your in the area go to it! They have the best Stromboli! We have hit this little deli many times before our little adventures in the bay area for their awesome deli sandwiches and they never disappoint..... fantastico!

This last Friday, I had a great time talking to the fine folks over at Widgetbox here in San Francisco... They are great company with alot of hard workers who are truly making the web widgetized!! If your an illustrator, cartoonist, artist whatever they have this great tool called a BLIDGET. What's a Blidget you ask? Well consider this nifty tool as a great way to promote your blog and "art" through your very own widget blog.... I added mine and you should too! Well at least I think so because I am all about self promotion.... You can check out Widgetbox here....

HI everyone,

So thanks again for all of the emails concerning my project ICONIC... All is well with me, I just needed to take a break from ICONIC for abit and get rejuvenate again.... So stay tuned as I am in production right now working on new episodes for ICONIC with Von Glitchka, James Jean, Edel Rodriguez, and Bob Dob!

So whats up with me? Well basically I have been busy creating new work for the portfolio and starting some new projects that I will be releasing soon! One project that I am quite excited about is the Weebits podcast... I also just have begun the beginning concepts for a graphic novel series that I am quite excite about..... So in conclusion its been a busy couple of months and soon you will see the fruits of my labor...... cheers!

SKETCH CRAWL 12 (Brother edition)

This last weekend I had the pleasure to hang out with my brother Dave on Sketch Crawl12... We stayed off the beaten track from everyone else here in San Francisco because you see everyone else went to the zoo and well what can I say we just didnt make it in time for that. So instead we switched the plans up and we thought we would bump shoulders with the crazy_insane shoppers down at Union Square... Great Plan! huh?

Boy oh boy did we, we had a blast and even managed to duck out the cold rain for abit and recover with some beer with good conversation... All and all a fantastic day with my brother Dave!

About this crawl: I decided early on to focus on drawing faces and mark making with the pencil. It felt good to get away from vector land for awhile and just enjoy the pencil glide, skip, and fall on the page.. Over all I was pleased with my results and learned allot again about drawing people on the move. So if your curious, you can see my other results from the whole day here on the sketch crawl forum (erik76- san francisco results) as well with the other crawlers from the day...

Well, I have been working on getting this project off the ground for many months and I am very happy to say Faux Posters website is officially opened for business!

What is Faux Posters? Well it's my take on Vintage posters, for instance I am working right now on series of twelve posters on theme of beer...
