Hi folks, it’s been awhile since I have posted something sorry about that but you know how it is. As to update you on the mural project it’s all done and I am very happy how it turned out. I would say it’s my best mural to date which is how things are suppose to work. Unfornately though when I took pictures for my portfolio my digital camera went whacko on me so I have to schedule another appointment with my client and take some good photos of the mural. I’m not sure what happened but my camera made all my images turn green....that was very frustrating and even more frustrating for my girlfriend because it was her camera...Hopefully the camera is ok.....However life goes on, and this is my entry for ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY ''strength". I thought of this idea why looking back on my childhood. I wanted to create a character based on me so I came with ADAM. ADAM is based on my career as an altar boy. I always struggled holding the large massive wooden cross during the profession into church so I thought this would be the perfect play on the word "strength". Hope you enjoy it. erik

That is always a very tough job for small alter boys! GREAT take on the theme!!!

I remember well the 6 foot monster that you had to carry, and make sure it was straight up, and facing forward! Another altar boy memory for "strength" would be incense. Having to hold the thing while lit, the strength of the smell was almost enough to knock me over sometimes!

This is wonderful...it reminds me of my 9 years at catholic school and all the church-going that went along with it! I totally remember the boys having to carry the huge cross!
